Here is the outside of a birthday card I made using the cutest digital stamp from  Scrapper's Delights

For the outside I used the following.
  • one white card base 6"' by 6".
  • one 6" by 6" piece of blue card stock
  • one 5 1/2" by 5 1/2" piece of patterned paper
  • one 5" by 5" piece of blue card stock.
  • one 8" piece of yellow ribbon (here I used yellow felt butterfly ribbon)
  • letters to spell out "Guess What?"
  • 5 colorful brads.
Now for the inside!

For the inside you will need:
  • one 12" by 6" piece of blue card stock, folded  to create a 6" by 6" card.  On the crease measure in 2" from each side and cut a slit approx. 1 1/2" in length.  Pop this out and crease the folds well with a bone folder.  This is where our young lady will be placed so that she pops out when the card is opened.
  • one 6" by 2" piece of white card stock.  I chose to distress the edges with a subtle pink ink.
  • one 5 3/4" by 1 3/4" piece of patterned card stock.
  • letter stickers to spell out "You're" and one chipboard number 6.
Now for our little angel.  I printed her out twice. Once on a smooth white card stock and again on the printed paper.  I cut the skirt out of the printed paper and colored in our little girl with markers and pencils.  I then cut her out being very careful not to cut off her little fingers.  Next time I do this, I won't drink four cups of coffee beforehand! I then accordion folded her skirt and added shading with some ink.  I then glued this onto her, giving her skirt dimension. The next step is to matte your patterned paper onto your white card stock and adhere that to your card.  Now you will want to gauge where your little lady is going to be standing by putting her on the pop out portion of the card with a removable tape.  Now you can go ahead and attach your letters and number!  This makes it easier because nothing is more discouraging than getting this close of a finished card and not having enough room for your words  Now that that is done you can glue on our sweet little girl and then glue the whole blue insert into the outside of the card, being careful not to glue down your pop out! I have to stress this because I have done it....far more often than I would like to admit. = )

Now you have a completed card!  If you would like to add this sweet little girl to your digital stamp library click here!  Be sure to check out her hoodie in this set.....some have bunny ears!  Too cute!!

Keep Checking back to see what this amazing team comes up with, and I will be back with a tutorial on the best papers, markers and pencils to use on your digital stamps.

Cheers
Laurie
