School's Out - Well Almost

Hi All!

School's just about over here for my daughter - now she'll be in 6th grade (OMG!). I thought this adorable image of Anna Mae (school 2) was perfect for a thank you card for my daughter's teacher. She's a Whimsy Stamps exclusive - Scrapper's Delights has a wonderful selection of adorable images that are exclusive to Whimsy. There's the Baby Boos and of course more of our little friend Anna Mae!

Little Anna Mae is colored with Copics (what else!?) and the print paper is by Kaiser Kraft. I used the A2 Polka Dots die by Spellbinders for the background.

Stop by the Scrappers Delights store and check out all of the gorgeous images available as well as the images available at Whimsy - you won't be sorry!

Until Next Time!

Inspire a Smile

Hi All!

I'm feeling like Spring (I know it's here somewhere), so I decided to take my sweet little Pixie Corner doll from the Pixie Corner Collection and create something cheery for my first official Design Team post on Scrapper's Delights.

I tried something a little different with her - I wanted her to have somewhat see thru wings. So, I printed her out twice. Once on Express Blending cardstock and once on an inject printable transparent sheet. I colored the transparent wings a bit with some B00 and B01 so there's a tiny bit of tinting to it.

The print paper is Basic Grey, Tim Holtz stickers for the sentiment and some paper flowers by Petaloo which I colored to match my pixie.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy St Patrick's Day Everyone

Happy St Patrick's Day Everyone!!

Ok it has been a while since I have had the chance to make a card and this one took me over a week at different stages as it was lol
We have an action packed six weeks planed for you all so we have been VERY Busy!
All will be revealed soon!

Here is my card using Leprechaun 3

I used my Silhouette to cut out the
clouds, rainbow, grass and mushroom.

Used my pro markers to color all the elements apart from the clouds which I used 3D paint leaving it messy when dying to give it a fluffy texture.
I had a standard 6X6 square card and used landscape.
I then drew round my double sided tape real to get the circle
as it was a perfect size lol.

I blended some Tim Holtz Distressing Ink (Broken China)
on to the circle to look like sky and stuck half way.

I found some old 6X6 dotty paper and stuck it to the card leaving a very small gap overlapping the circle edge so I could position my digi elements between giving a tidy finish to the scene.

I hope you enjoyed my card

Laurie DT

Here is the outside of a birthday card I made using the cutest digital stamp from  Scrapper's Delights

For the outside I used the following.
  • one white card base 6"' by 6".
  • one 6" by 6" piece of blue card stock
  • one 5 1/2" by 5 1/2" piece of patterned paper
  • one 5" by 5" piece of blue card stock.
  • one 8" piece of yellow ribbon (here I used yellow felt butterfly ribbon)
  • letters to spell out "Guess What?"
  • 5 colorful brads.
Now for the inside!

For the inside you will need:
  • one 12" by 6" piece of blue card stock, folded  to create a 6" by 6" card.  On the crease measure in 2" from each side and cut a slit approx. 1 1/2" in length.  Pop this out and crease the folds well with a bone folder.  This is where our young lady will be placed so that she pops out when the card is opened.
  • one 6" by 2" piece of white card stock.  I chose to distress the edges with a subtle pink ink.
  • one 5 3/4" by 1 3/4" piece of patterned card stock.
  • letter stickers to spell out "You're" and one chipboard number 6.
Now for our little angel.  I printed her out twice. Once on a smooth white card stock and again on the printed paper.  I cut the skirt out of the printed paper and colored in our little girl with markers and pencils.  I then cut her out being very careful not to cut off her little fingers.  Next time I do this, I won't drink four cups of coffee beforehand! I then accordion folded her skirt and added shading with some ink.  I then glued this onto her, giving her skirt dimension. The next step is to matte your patterned paper onto your white card stock and adhere that to your card.  Now you will want to gauge where your little lady is going to be standing by putting her on the pop out portion of the card with a removable tape.  Now you can go ahead and attach your letters and number!  This makes it easier because nothing is more discouraging than getting this close of a finished card and not having enough room for your words  Now that that is done you can glue on our sweet little girl and then glue the whole blue insert into the outside of the card, being careful not to glue down your pop out! I have to stress this because I have done it....far more often than I would like to admit. = )

Now you have a completed card!  If you would like to add this sweet little girl to your digital stamp library click here!  Be sure to check out her hoodie in this set.....some have bunny ears!  Too cute!!

Keep Checking back to see what this amazing team comes up with, and I will be back with a tutorial on the best papers, markers and pencils to use on your digital stamps.

Cheers
Laurie

NEW PRODUCTS & SAMPLES

Post By Janice (Scrapper's Delights)

Hi Everyone
I have two new Digi Stamps for you today
His name is Draco

I have made some cards YAY!
I gave up card making when I had my son 5 years ago
because of the space and mess and did more Digital creations.

So here is my first card
I thought I would keep everything simple lol

CARD
-I chose a dark green card stock for my card base.
-Matted a lime green card on top.
-I found a fantastic 12x12 paper (Not sure were I got it)
that matched the theme and color hues in the Christmas words.
-Added four lime green decorative brads in each corner.

TAG TOPPER
-I echoed the same colors and matting for the tag base
but this time I reversed the card colors.
-I found a sweet sentiment and placed it on the lime green card
-added a red bow in the corner and punched out a paper heart in red.
again not sure were is came from as my stock is so old lol

DIGI OF DRACO
-I colored him in my new
Letraset
Promarkers
Flex Markers
This was the first time I had worked with pens like this
I was so impressed with the results and the richness in colors.
I was not sure if to go for these or the Copic pens
but Create & Craft (TV Channel dedicated to crafts in UK)
had a fantastic offer I just could not resist! lol

I used:
Main Body
Cinnamon Promarkers
Berry Red Promarkers
Holly Promarkers
Chartreuse Flex Markers
Aniseed Flex Markers

For The Eyes, Teeth & Claws
White Gelly Roll Pen Sakura

Hat Fur
White Pearlescent Glue by Glitz It

Outline
Black Uni-ball Micro by Mitsubishi
-----------------------------

Here is my second card
using Draco Xmas Digi 2

CARD

-I used a template of a spring card by Samantha Murphy
on red card stock.
-I used a darker green card stock for the matting of the base panel.
-The pattern snow flack paper (again old stock) was added to the base and the diamond card front.
-I used my Gelly Roll Glitter Sakura pen to ascent the pattern.
-Added silver line peeloff round the edge of the diamond
-I used a matching topper from the paper fastening it with lime green brads.

DIGI OF DRACO
